ADHD and Neurodiversity
Being neurodivergent isn't something to fix.
Counselling can be about understanding how your brain works, what makes life harder and what might help, whether that's ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia or another way of thinking that hasn't always fitted the standard mould.
I offer neurodiversity-affirming counselling and psychological therapy for neurodivergent adolescents and adults. I also work with couples and families where one or more people are neurodivergent. This can include neurodivergent–neurotypical relationships, where differences in communication, sensory needs, emotional regulation or expectations can create particular challenges.
For adolescents, family sessions can be included alongside individual counselling where useful.

A neurodiversity-affirming approach
Therapy isn't about trying to make you behave like someone you're not.
The focus is on understanding how you think and process information, what's getting in the way, and what might make life work better for you.
My approach is affirming rather than pathologising. The aim isn't to make you seem more "typical", but to help you work with your brain, reduce the things that are genuinely getting in your way and build on what already works for you.
I don't conduct formal diagnostic assessments and currently only psychiatrists can approve medications plans. If an assessment would be useful, I can help you understand the options and find the right pathway.
