Psychology and Wellbeing Services

You don’t need to fit neatly into a category to benefit from therapy.

Individual Therapy  >

You don't need to have a clear sense of what you want to talk about or what kind of help you're looking for. Individual therapy can be a place to work through a specific crisis, long-standing patterns, a diagnosis or relationship difficulties.

Relationship Counselling >

Relationships can become challenging for all sorts of reasons. I provide counselling for couples, separated parents, families and groups. I also work with clients who choose Polyamory, Consensual Non-Monogamy and other relationship arrangements.

ADHD and Neurodiversity  >

Neurodiversity isn't something to fix. I offer affirming counselling for adults and adolescents with ADHD and Autism. Topics can include relationships, work, emotional regulation and everyday life.

Anxiety and Depression  >

Anxiety and depression can affect you in many ways including how you think and feel, how you sleep and eat, and how much you socialise. Sometimes the signs are obvious; sometimes they’re harder to recognise. I work with both, including when symptoms occur alongside trauma, substance use and other mental health concerns.

Trauma and Neglect  >

Trauma can come from a single event or from experiences that build up over time. I work with people affected by trauma, PTSD and childhood neglect, including when these are connected with anxiety, addiction and other mental health concerns.

Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)  >

Substance use can sometimes become difficult to manage. I offer a non-judgemental, trauma and stigma informed approach. I can help you to develop your own motivation to make new choices that you can maintain.

Addictions  >

Addiction can take many forms, from gambling, gaming and shopping, to sex and pornography. It can also occur alongside other mental health concerns. I offer a non-judgemental approach, with a focus on understanding what's happening and what you'd like to change.

Complex Mental Health  >

Sometimes there are several things happening at once. I work with people experiencing ongoing or complex mental health concerns, including Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and Psychosis.

What to expect

Sessions run for 50 minutes. Sometimes people request longer appointments (75 and 100 minutes are available) because stopping and starting can be disruptive. This can be especially helpful for relationship counselling or when there is a lot coming up for clients.

The number of sessions you’ll need depends on what you're coming to therapy for and what you'd like to achieve. I generally recommend booking your first three appointments close together for the initial assessment phase, ideally within two weeks of each other. This gives us some continuity while we get to know each other, work out what's happening and what might be most helpful. After that, sessions might be weekly, fortnightly or less often, depending on what you need. We can adjust this as we go.
