Anxiety and Depression
Anxiety and depression don't always look the way people expect.
You might be overthinking everything, struggling to get motivated, sleeping badly, feeling irritable or flat, or finding that things you normally enjoy don't feel the same.
Sometimes it's obvious, such as persistent worry or low mood that won't lift. Sometimes it's quieter, like losing interest in things you used to enjoy, feeling irritable for no clear reason, or simply not being able to switch your mind off.
What we might work on
Persistent worry, racing thoughts or overthinking
Low mood, low motivation or loss of interest
Stress that's difficult to switch off
Irritability and changes in appetite or sleep
Panic and feeling constantly overwhelmed
Burnout from work, caregiving or other pressures
Self-doubt and fear of failure
Major changes or transitions
Reduced enjoyment of everyday life
Thoughts of suicide or feeling like you don't want to be here anymore
Anxiety and depression can also occur alongside trauma or substance use, and we can look at these together where relevant.
We'll look at what's happening, what matters to you and what's getting in the way. Depending on what you're working through, this might include understanding patterns of thinking, making changes to day-to-day routines or finding ways to manage difficult thoughts and feelings.
