Trauma and Neglect

Trauma doesn't always look like a single dramatic event. Sometimes it's one thing that changed everything; sometimes it's years of experiences that were never quite recognised as harmful at the time. Both can have a lasting effect.

It can show up as anxiety, low mood, difficulty trusting people, feeling constantly on edge, changes in relationships, avoidance, or a sense that something has changed without knowing quite why.

I work with people affected by trauma, PTSD and childhood neglect, including when these are connected with anxiety, addiction or other mental health concerns.

My experience working in crisis mental health and dual diagnosis has included supporting people through acute crises and complex mental health difficulties.
